Dr. Meera Krishna, Project Coordinator of CORD, (a gynecologist and rural development leader) has also received several awards, including:
Outstanding Woman Award: In March 2013, the National Commission for Women recognized her “selfless” service and honored her with the “Outstanding Woman” award for Empowering Mahila Mandals (Magalir Mandrams) and Sustainable waste management.
Swami Chinmayananda, the Founder of Chinmaya Mission (1951-1993) has been the recipient of many awards, including:
1992: The US magazine, Hinduism Today, conferred upon Swami Chinmayananda the Hindu Renaissance Award and the title of the “Hindu of the Year”
Swami Tejomayananda, the former Global Head of Chinmaya Mission (1993-2017) has been the recipient of many awards, including the following for the work done by him for Chinmaya Mission:
2004: The Gupta Award
2005: The “Hindu of the Year” award by Hinduism Today
2012: The Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati National Eminence Award by South Indian Education Society (SIES)
