1. What are the goals and expectations of the internship?

1. • Chinmaya Mission as a non-profit has specific projects in the service of society from creative, technological to management roles, that contribute to our organizational goals and allows you to develop valuable skills that also offers you learning opportunities.
   • Clearly outline the purpose of the internship and what you expect the intern to gain from the program. Organizations should consider what they hope to achieve from the program and what they want the intern to learn, They should create a job description, set requirements, and decide on supervision and training. 1. Create a workspace for the intern and designate a mentor or supervisor.

2. What is the duration of the internship?

1. • We offer various durations based on mutual requirements and convenience. The length of the internship, could be a summer program, a semester-long, or a year-long commitment.

3. Will the intern be compensated?

1. • Chinmaya Mission is world renowned non-profit organisation. While the internship will be unpaid; the intern is compensated not just by the learning but also by the recognition they gain worldwide in academia or corporate world with Chinmaya certification.

4. What training and support will be provided?

1. • Training sessions are provided as needed based on the intern’s role. Mentorship programs are our forte. Resource support like workspace, internet and computing resources as appropriate will be available to the intern. Mentors will be providing valuable guidance, feedback, and support to the interns throughout their internship.

5. What are the work hours and location?

1. • Based on the internship role,
     1. we have both part-time and full-time options, and
     2. if the internship is remote or in-office.

6. What are the confidentiality and intellectual property rights?

1. • We want interns understand any confidentiality and integrity must be maintained related to their work.

7. How will the intern’s performance be evaluated?

1. • Problem solving, Critical Thinking, Regularity, task management, Task Quality, Communication, Teamwork, Reporting, adaptability and Learning are some key criteria.

8. How do I apply for an internship or What is the application process?

1. • Applying for an internship is just like applying for any other job. Your application must be accompanied by a cover letter and a complete, professional resume highlighting your academic history, work experience, and relevant extracurricular activities. 9. Do you provide a Certificate of Completion to interns?

1. • Yes, we provide a Certificate of Completion to the interns who complete the internship program successfully.

10. Does an internship offer create an employer-employee relationship?

1. • No, an internship offer does not establish an employer-employee relationship nor a promise of future employment

11. Are interns required to follow the rules and regulations of the establishment?

1. • Yes, interns must adhere to the establishment’s rules, including those related to timings, holidays, leaves, conduct, and discipline.

12. Are facilities such as accommodation or transportation to interns provided?

1. • In general there is no provision for facilities like accommodation, transportation, or canteens.

13. When does the recruiting process start?

1. • It is recommended to start applying at least a semester before the intended internship semester.

14. What should be included in the Internship Learning Agreement (ILA)?

1. • The ILA should outline the tasks and learning objectives of the internship and be signed by the student and site supervisor.
